This post is somewhat to show a new bass, but also to give kudos to two separate companies and everyone involved in getting me this bass.

I ordered this bass through Randy at Bass Spotlight from Maruszczyk. Randy was incredibly helpful in making sure that I got everything I wanted. After a few months, I received my new bass in early October. Unfortunately, due to the way the bass was packed inside the flight case that I purchased for it, it arrived with a nasty crack in the neck near the headstock. I emailed both Randy and the folks at Maruszczyk within minutes of it arriving, and they were quick to help figure out how it may have been damaged, and got me a shipping label to have it sent back to determine if it could be fixed. Unfortunately, a completely new bass had to be built. From the time they received the broken bass, and me receiving the replacement, it was only about 1 - 1 1/2 months. Adrian and Sandy at Maruszczyk and Randy provided great communication throughout the process, and they even sent me an extra shirt and an amazing strap with the new bass. I would highly recommend both of these companies to anyone looking for an incredible custom instrument! Reach out to Randy if you're ever looking for a custom Maruszczyk order!!

Now for the bass. As a kid, I always wanted a Flying V, and I love these sparkle finishes as well. As soon as I saw this finish available with Maruszczyk, I knew I wanted one. This is the lesser known Mensinger Speesy model. These aren't in the builder on the Website, but they are an option for a custom. This one is a 30" scale with a string thru Hipshot A style bridge. Hipshot tuners with the D Tuner (it's available with the reverse headstock as standard, but if you have the D Tuner, that's not an option). It has a Bassculture humbucker, stackable volume/tone, and 3 way switch for single/series/parallel options. They also did a satin finish over the glitter on the neck for a great feel. All of that with the custom flight case came in at an incredible price for all of the options selected. I just strung it with some TI Jazz Flats and the sound is unbelievable in all settings. I couldn't be happier with the bass or the way both companies quickly worked to fund a solution and execute it beautifully.
