Very accurate description. And yes, the indoor and outdoor photos really do demonstrate the color in different lighting. I have a mid-'80s E-Series MIJ Precision. Great bass...Ya it’s one of those colours. Add to that the variations btw models and countries and there’s really no telling.
Here’s a pic in sunlight which I think is closer to the actual. Pretty cool tomato soup I think.

Hi all. I mostly play guitar but have recently become interested in trying out bass. Picked up an MIJ Fender Jazz Bass from an eBay store in Japan and it arrived yesterday. Build quality is awesome, on par with MIA stuff in my opinion. Thought I would share a couple of pics. Looking forward to learning as I go and checking out the forums for tips. Thanks for looking.

I love it. In my experience, MIJ or CIJ Fenders are excellent. Sometimes on the heavy side. I own three and two of them are a tad heavy but they sound great. Love that color.Hi all.
