NBD Modern player jazz!

I recently picked up a new Fender Modern Player Jazz. Mine is Olympic white with a black guard. I love the neck and the double jazz pickups sound huge! I have seen a Fender blacktop club on TB but have not found as much info on the modern player as I had hoped I would. I'm planning on keeping this one mostly stock but would (predictably) love to swap out the black pickguard for a tort one...Just need to find one... Or make one...

Holy cow! I didn't realize how bad this pic was until just now!

Apologies for the cellphone garbage but it will have to do for now. I'm going to snap an updated shot of all four of my jazzes for the jazz bass club soon and will post it here as well. Any thoughts, opinions or experiences you would like to share about these basses are welcome.

I just played one today. The neck is nice, but needed a set up pretty bad. Looks real nice too. I'm looking to get a new J Bass after Christmas, and this one is up there on the wish list. Congrats. Give a review after you spend some time with it.

Will do Rusty!
As for mine, the setup was decent right off the bat. I brought her home, gave her maybe a quarter of a turn on the truss rod, lowered the saddles just a tad and tweaked the intonation on the G string. I played around with the stock strings for a couple days but they were pretty shabby. The bass came with a new set of D'addario nickel rounds so I threw those on and felt/heard an instant improvement. I have not played it with the band yet as our drummer is out of town for a couple weeks but when he returns I'll be spending a few straight hours with it around my neck to really wring it out. I will definitely let you guys know how it goes.
