Moniker somehow found a way to combine everything I liked in almost every bass I had owned over the years. The neck reminded me of my Warwick Corvette. The headstock reminded me of an old Ric. The shape reminded me of my Jags. It balances perfectly, sounds killer and cuts through like a knife. These basses are legit. I'm happy to see another person on here that has one. Seriously under exposed in this forum. How are you still liking yours?

I absolutely love mine. I put EMG PXs in it & a hip shot brass bridge. That combo put it over the top. Jazzy sounding but the double Ps give more low & high-ish mids over a jazz...translates to cuts through. So much I put groundwounds on it & it still cuts

Guitar configurator...I put together a flat black with cream binding either Dixie or Tejas bass. Probably tejas....that'll be next

I love their necks. Thin like a jazz but a little deeper like a P. Fits the hand very comfortably

It was only leaning long enough to get the picture, and I wasn't the one doing the leaning! I left that to the owner!

I didn't know you could build a Tejas bass, those are awesome looking. They completely grew on me. That would look really cool with the paddle headstock too.

Yeah, the TV Jones Thundertron pickups are awesome. I saw that video so many times before I ended up getting that bass in trade. I'm holding onto this one for good. I'm not the original owner, but I'll certainly be it's last!

I live in Austin TX and only about 3 miles from Moniker's workshop so I've gone in a few times and met their A&R guy, Steve Flynn and one of the owners, Kevin Tully. I asked Steve about the possibility of doing a Tejas bass and he was open to it. I got the impression they'd entertain doing most of their guitar bodies as a bass (but probably for an up-charge I'm sure).

Along the same lines as the conversation above, looks like Moniker is already making some new bases based off of their other models.
