TL/DR: There is no hype, only truth. Brady Muckelroy builds amazing basses. Buy one!

After several many months (also known as exactly how long Brady said it’d would take!), my new Muckelroy arrived today. I’m rarely lost for words, but I’m just stunned.

My mission with this was: lightweight, stable, versatile, and (at least comparatively) inexpensive. It’s all of that and beautiful to boot. 7.5 pounds. Supremely comfortable, the smoothest neck and best setup I’ve ever played, and easily the most responsive bass I’ve ever played. Passive Kent Armstrong pickups, wired vol/blend/tone, and coil switching for each pickup. It’s so sensitive and responsive that it’s going to make me a better player.

Admittedly, this is my first foray into a custom instrument but I had no idea a bass could feel or sound this good. The entire experience working with Brady was a joy. If you’re thinking about a new bass, just call him.
