NBD! My first ever SCPB!

Very excited to have my very own squier classic vibe 50s precision bass in LPB. I owned a classic vibe 60s pbass and immediately regretted selling. I have been gassing over one of these since they came out, about 10 years ago! The blue ones dont pop up very frequently and when they do they are usually taxed for the color and sell for more than these sold for new. I ALMOST even bought the blonde version because I have been looking for so long, but it finally payed off and I paid a pretty fair price for a bass in 9.5/10 condition.

First mod was ripping off the pickguard. Best part of squier bodies is the lack of CNC holes. I love the look so much it is making me reconsider getting a second blonde one.... ya know... one for rounds, one for flats.


Pickup recommendations? The single coil is lacking a mids, kinda scooped sounding like a p&j love child. Fralin has a split coil I think? SD QP worth it? I have a SD blackout 2 band preamp I’d like to add but even then I still dont have a mid-range control.
