NBD: my first US Fender

The 'no skunk stripe' means, laminated fingerboard.

My Precision V had no skunk stripe either. Since I ordered it, I didn't notice the laminated fingerboard for several days. Just playing it, the tone & vibe was knocking me out.

Regarding strings, for mine I love DR Low Rider Nickels. The purple package. They just have a delightful warmth, and stay out of the way of that Fender tone.

They also stay alive quite a while longer than most steel wounds. Slap tone is easily achievable except I can't slap worth a damn.

NICE P!!!!!!
