Im sorry I didn't get what you meant, but its a blast!I think it would be fun to try.
Unfortunate builder's make, if I read it correctly from the headstock.

Oh haha! Yup it was built by Oscar Prat haha. I've gotten a few comments, but only from a couple of British people I know hahaIt looks to me like the name on the headstock is Prat. Look up the definition (slang or otherwise). Then imagine someone saying "nice Prat" or "I play a Prat."
Thanks man!!! I am enjoying it very much!Wow! Enjoy that beautiful axe man!
Haha I still love 4s but I've kind of moved on an experimented and absolutely love these. I cant speak for guitar though haha. And thanks! That has as many strings as my ideal bass (4) and ideal guitar (7) combined.
Also, it looks gorgeous.
Eh I'll just say sideways piano haha. No the neck is super thin so theres no craning to get those top strings. Seriously the neck is like half an inch thickImpressive, most impressive!
Not so much a bass as a harp... Makes my left hand cramp up just looking at it.
Haha that is a great question. The main reason is that the Ab is insanely small for a string (I use a .008 for my Eb) and not only do I have to have a large fan on it around a 6" fan for low and high strings, they are still very delicate and snap super easy. I had the chance to play a 12 C#-Ab, and it was a little too much for me at the time. So maybe in the future though! That's a funny looking harp.
Why not add an " Ab " & have every chromatic pitch represented over the span of several octaves?![]()
Haha it is a bit pricy, but its not bad considering my strings last a long time. Plus there's a lot more expensive habits.Looks great...though I wouldn't want to pick up the bill for string changes. LOL
Yeah you are haha. It does! It plays like a dream! But I did play a solo show recently where some acts had ukulele players and it was kind of awkward haha*bow* "I'm not worthy!" *bow* "I'm not worthy!" *bow...
Wow! These types of basses (more than 6 strings, 10, 11, 12, etc) blow my mind! Makes my 5 string look like a ukulele. I bet it plays like butter drool
Well I do ALOT of tapping and solo gigs, but I also play in groups and do occasional step ins for cover bands, and a lot of percussive work. It really just depends on the playerI assume that with anything more than say about 6 strings, it's primarily for tap style playing? Otherwise I wouldn't have a clue.
Well the good thing is even though it is so large, its still a bass, and can do more than just tapping. But its not out of anyones league. I went to NAMM to get my 9 string and an 11 year old kid was shredding on my 9 like it was nothing and he had never encountered a bass of that size ever! It was pretty awesome and inspiring!!! So nothing is out of anyones leagueI gave up with my 8 string Chapman NS Stick and went back to 4 string! I can't even imagine! Congrats, its a beautiful instrument but out of my league!
Cool stuff man! I said the same thing around 4-5 years ago and not only that, I thought these were useless dumb instruments. Haha now look at me!Hope you enjoy it, for me it is at least 6 strings too many and I'm from Québec where Le Cirque du Soleil was born... But it looks very nice.
Thanks man, glad you like it!Wow! Great looking bass.
Thanks!Yeah it looks really nice !
Thanks man! Ive definitely been enjoying it, its a blast to play!Wow! Enjoy that beautiful axe man!
Yeah I hear ya, but probably not very useful in Rock and Blues stuff that I gravitate to, as well as playingWell the good thing is even though it is so large, its still a bass, and can do more than just tapping.
