NBD- Oddball alert.

their heyday in America in 80's never regained a firm marketing presence, no doubt aided by the fallout between the original TUNE company and the Korean-made versions.
It's more the result of Sam Ash and their failed attempt to buy the brand.

WSC (the parent company) said no and SA countered by a "Blowout sale" hoping to weaken the brand image. WSC decided if that's how folks in the US do business they wanted no part of it, VSN in Canda become the sole distributor for the whole of North America :thumbsup:

@Paulabass

Congrats on your Tune :)

Here is my oddball.

Nordstrand winds their dual coil pickups in that shape either in Series or Parallel, because switching can cause some problems (so they say). I bet the S designation on your pickup is indicating series.

I was thiiiis close to buying that bass several times. Good job!

Kodiakblair would, I don't know how to tag on this website lol.
PSA just type the @ character (no space between) and start typing the username, to tag i.e. @kodiakblair, the site will give you a dropdown of names to choose from.

@Drucifer

It's all good, I've a habit of finding Tune posts :) Been a massive fan of them from almost the start.
Saw their extended board fretless reviewed in 84 and I was smitten, that's in the middle :drool:
