Got my '77 Gibson RD Standard in today. Certainly needs a setup and wish me luck on that. Hopefully all things are go for a good and easy setup with no dumb issues of the neck. It is fretting out pretty bad on the open E and a bit all over so hopefully a little relief will solve that issue. Plus, it needs long strings stuck on it...any particular suggestions on that? I've always loved the RD series for their look. It's a heavy bass but that's ok. I have a heavy rig (and a Jaguar Bass to relax with). Cheers!!
