NBD.... Old El Degas P-bass copy MIJ

Just picked this cool old El Degas P-copy up from an Antique Market.
Just another impulse buy.(gotta stop doing that)

There was no amp there to plug it in but the sign on it said it works perfect.
Got it home, gave it a strip down and cleaning, new strings and set up. I'm pretty happy with this one. And it has a small Telecaster style pickup. It has a surprisingly big sound for how small the PU is. It also came with a bridge cover which I like the look of, but they get in the way for me. So it might be coming off. The colour is a nice aged white.

It was $135 canadian.Probably paid a little too much for it, but after playing it, I think it was worth it.
It's solid,well built and ready to gig.

My very 1st bass was an El Degas Precision rental from World of Music in Cupertino! It was awful!! (sorry) Looking back, no one bothered to set it up, the action was a mile high, I almost quit because of it. My Dad said if I stuck it out for 3 months we would look into a purchase (there was a 3 month minimum rental period). I made it and he laid down a $125.00 for a brand new Fender Musicmaster bass SS in 1978. I still have it.
