NBD - Ovation Magnum IV

I've always wanted an Ovation Magnum, and thanks to the help of TB'er hyden, I'm now the proud owner of this beautiful Magnum IV. hyden was a pleasure to do business with and I'm really glad he's going fretless!!! :bassist:

My thoughts after getting a chance to dig in... the first shocker is she's not anywhere near as heavy as I'd expected. I'd say it's lighter than all my other mahogany basses: Washburn Scavenger and Chicago Force 40 and my natural finish Epi Pro V. It has a really wide range of tones you can pull from it. And the neck is a treat - dead flat, almost too flat. Hangs nice and tight to your body too, I don't find I'm reaching for first position as much as a few of my other basses.

She's a beauty and I'll be hanging on to her for a very long while. This purchase will actually help my marriage, since I'll be sacrificing a few of my other basses now that I have one of my 'dream' basses. :D
