it's a Peavey so of course the neck is nice, yet not at all like my ambered Zodiac BXP maple board which makes me wonder where the BXP connection is cos this rosewood capped neck resembles a zillion other bleached sticks fresh off the boat. still, the black headstock is cool and it feels great, overall in the looks dept. I like it better than the seller's dull pic shows, the finish is far more attractive in a rich sparkly CAR. 2 healthy body dings outta frontal sight but everything else is minty. I gotta find the pdf manual and figure out how to drive this crazy thing...
this bass is indeed powerful with vast range and a potent EQ, I undialed everything to 0 on both amp and bass then searched for a basic P bass sound, boy did I find it without having to do more than boost the vols for a decent apt. level and solo the mid (neck) PU. after a 1/2hr of fun at that minimal stage and knowing there are roaring tigers in the tank waiting to be unleashed I figured a vote of confidence was already in order. everything else this bass offers, and it's a ton, is gravy on top of an already tasty tone without even trying. I hesitated on sending an offer of $150 only cos I doubted I could find my happy P zone, and supposed battery consumption, but I'm a Peavey nut, I've never been disappointed. plus, the seller delivered and so far the Mil has already more than delivered, I can now only expect the unexpected. not bad for such a minimal cost.
