NBD: Peavey T40

I used the "out of phase mode" with an envelope filter and some octiver. It made an "interesting" sound. I would need to tweak it in order to get something useful out of it. However, I'm not playing any thing with my current projects that requires a synthy/filtered sound.

This is going to be my last bass for the forseeable future. Between my Jaguar and the T-40, I have everything covered.

For what it is worth,

Last night I had the T-40 out at band practice. I had it running into my VT Bass then to my Peavey Tour 450. I finally got a MONSTER sound out of it. It sounded absolutely fantastic last night. I am no longer EQ'ing at the pedal or at the amp... it all at the bass. Which is really great. Easy.

This is quickly becoming my "go to" bass.

Best sound out of these for me is with everything wide open on both pickups, played HARD into a dirty tube amp.

There is a use for the phase switch! With the bridge pickup soloed, flipping the switch selects the single coil of the humbucker closest to the neck, which sounds much better than the weaker half positioned towards the bridge!
