Came across this at the local Sam Ash (the used selection there is always on point) and fell in love instantly. Plugged in and loved it even more. Coolest looking bass I've owned, and my first hollow body to boot. Especially pretty with it's bass buddies. Versatile, two pickups and a 6-way "tone selector," which goes from sharper to mellower sounds. Hard to find much information on this bass, if anyone has some fun facts, I'd love to hear them! {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
Is it a true hollow body or semi-hollow body? With that tailpiece it looks more like a semi-hollow body. Whichever it is it’s a beauty!
Yeah, has to be some sort of semi-hollow. Looks almost like they slapped a Duesenberg pickguard on an Ibby AGB.
Oh I wouldn’t go that far. Definitely some similar mojo but if you had them side by side (all three) you’d notice as many differences as similarities. There was a Peerless LP style bass with amber flame maple top with gold hardware that I was G.A.S.ing over a while ago. I’m a real sucker for archtops. To me they’re works of art regardless how expensive or inexpensive they are. I’d like to hear more about this one from the OP.
You need to show this off at the hollow body bass club and the show us your black basses club too!!!!
There’s an amber flame maple version of that second one that I missed out on...previous year model They make some nice geeer-tars too. You know....them thar other stringed instruments...
