Saw this beauty come up on Marketplace a few days ago. Hadn't heard of Reverend basses before, but after some research I was suffering some major GAS! The ask was $1400CAD. I couldn't spare the cash for another bass now though, so saved the posting out of interest and moved on. In the meantime I had already decided to sell my Godin Shifter 5. Great bass, but I just don't use a 5er enough, so have never gotten totally comfortable with it.
Low and behold, I get a message the same day asking if I' consider a trade for a Mercalli 4. The very same bass I was lusting after earlier in the week! A few hours later, the deal is done and we are each the happy owners of a new (to us) bass.
This is a great feeling bass! I've only tried it through my little Ampeg BA-110 practice amp so far, but some great tonal variety with this cool pickup configuration. I can't wait to get it into the studio to plug into my Tone Hammer and crank up! These pickups are hot - should sound amazing!
