Nope. It's got Hipshot Ultralites, which probably helps.

I recently got my first Reverend, a Mercalli 4. The more I play it, the more it's replacing my L2000. They do great work. Congrats on the new bass!

A Mercalli 5 has been my #1 for the past few years, replacing an L2500 --- which is still a great bass, but the Rev
just sings across the whole range in a way that keeps it as the main one!

There's a Triad for $750 at my local shop in Bozeman MT. I've had a hard time justifying the purchase because I already have the Mercalli and the newer Decision basses. I love both of em! I do usually grab the Triad when I head there to mess with amps and pedals though. Congrats!

Not a ton on its own, but neck+middle is HUGE (pronounced YOOJ).

The neck pickup isn’t too much farther north than what you’d find on the neck pickup on a jazz bass. It sounds really good.

Got it. I have a lakland hollowbody with a neck pickup right on the neck. I like that sound a lot and have wondered what a jazz bass with a third pickup in that location would sound like. This is the closest thing I've seen to that setup.

All their PU's are hum-canceling (dual coils) so it isn't the case that one PU cancels the other, like on a Jazz bass. That makes the bass more desirable IMO. They also look so dang cool!

Good point, in this configuration, you could just add a mini toggle on/off switch to either the bridge or neck pickup and turn it on to activate all three or one of the end single pickup settings.

My metallic alpine Triad shows up on Wednesday and I’m already planning to add a mini-toggle switch between the volume and tone pots...there’s plenty of room there. I had a similar option added to a Nashville Telecaster (3 pickup/5 way switch) so I could play all 3 pickups or just neck and bridge. I’m really looking forward to hearing those two pickup options.

Yeah I’d be interested in hearing some sound clips of those 2 positions. The jazz bomb pickups don’t sound traditionally jazz like so even with the neck and the bridge pickups the bass will still sound like it’s own thing.

When I get it finished I will record some short clips of all of the pickup configurations. However I will go on record as saying...No bass spooning will occur during the recording of the sound bytes...

Well, you haven't received the bass yet. Just clear some space on the bed, you never know.
