NBD! Rickenbacker Shadow from 1986

Awesome Ric, Awesome playing, Awesome tone, but really awesome Coheed record in the back!
Thank you! It's a damn cool piece that I'm thrilled to have! Michael Todd had an extra laying around. Back when the record went gold, the band members got one for themselves, but if they wanted additional copies, they had to pay out of pocket to receive additional ones for friends & family.

Is that the same bass.they were calling the "Noir", or was that satin finish only? Im.a sucker for checker binding, love that bass. Hell of a find, NEVER sell it, you'll never see another.
Very similar to the Noir minus the satin finish and massacar ebony fretboard. I recently just sold my Noir the other day actually now that I found this. The Shadow is a standard Jetglo finish but with the checker board binding paired with the dot inlays.

Really cool motif. Probably the only Rick that I like. Digging that black!

I recently got very lucky in finding a minty Rickenbacker Shadow from 1986. I think they made 50 to 60 of these exclusively for Guitar Center. What a killer Ric... Immaculate condition and the best neck profile I've ever had on a Ric. It's a literal toothpick. Feels like a Jazz bass and the neck is ruler straight. Posted some pics and a demo video below! Enjoy!

I would be tempted to get the bridge powder coated and I would swap out the chrome screws for black ones.

Doesn't the Noir also have hollow dot (circles) fret markers as well? They both look awesome.
