NBD - Rogue 8 string

Finally get to post my very own NBD thread!

Bought this from fellow TB'r Atomic Punk. Rogue 8 string. I've been messing around with a borrowed Tennessee 12 string bass for a little bit, but the weight and the size of the neck made it less than fun. I got a great deal on this one and it is much more comfortable to play. Neck feels about like a P bass. I cant see playing this with my fingers like I do my Jazz, but I can learn to use a pick I suppose. Cant wait to try it out at practice.

Since I cant get my cam to work and I KNOW the rules about "no pics no bass" here is a link to the origina FS thread over in th classified

Rock on!

Congrats!
I got my (blonde) Rogue 8 from a pawnshop--like new for $179 with a Fender tweed case.
It had some fairly heavy strings at the time, so the previous owner couldn't get it to intonate--his failure = my good fortune.

Inside the control cavity you'll find a P-bass pickup cover that contains the preamp.
There's a tiny trim-pot on the preamp so you can fine-tune the output to match your other basses. Mine was way too loud until I found the trim-pot.

Keith--
Thanks for the info. When I was messing around last night I managed to find the push/pull pot by accident for the active electronics. I knew it had one but couldn't seem to get any of the pots to pull. I was noticing the volume pot was rubbing the body a bit when it turned so I was trying to pull it on the shaft a bit to raise it and POP! There was a MASSIVE difference in volume between active and passive.

I'll take the cover off and mess with it a bit. I'm really liking this bass. I dont think it will be something I'll use on every song, but it's for sure gonna be fun to play!
