NBD Sadowsky Content

Hello All...

I needed another bass like i needed a hole in the head...lol

However i just snagged a slightly used and modified Sadowsky Metro Express Verdine White model...

And i have to say after trying these when they first hit the streets I was seriously unimpressed considering the price....but the newer versions...wow!!!

Also in this particular case the stock pre-amp has been replaced with with a Sadowsky Will Lee Preamp...(still playing with it)

Anybody else play one of these? In my favorite right hand fingering position i keep bumping into the volume knob while playing the G string? anyone else have this issue?

Same here, I bought a 5 JJ last spring and was so impressed with it I bought a 4 JJ three weeks later. Loving both of them nearly every day.

finally got it set up to my preferences...cleaned up...cosmetic/aesthetic additions...

the bride reminds me of a Gotoh and most likely is an unbadged version

the adjustable nut is fantastic

fit and finish is also fantastic...

this pre-amp rocks!!!

I have seen some pretty good deals on these used...if you are in the market Don't sleep on these...

I got a JJ 5 last year and I am seriously impressed with it. I got it for like $800 or something, new, and it plays and sounds way above its weight. I put the VTC preamp in it

I got a Sadowsky PJ/5 seven months ago and the more I play it the more I like it. The workmanship is absolutely superb and everything else is first class. As I've said before, I don't need a better bass than this - its sound is clean, solid and well defined.

I also really like the Sadowsky preamp. I don't find alot of use for the WL boost switch but once in a while it's fun

This was my number one for four years straight. Put the VTC in a week after getting it. Never looked back. Now my modern Japan 4 has taken its place. But it really does kill.
