NBD - Sandberg TT4

I happen to be in Chicago for the holiday weekend, staying just a few blocks from Chicago Music Exchange. I stopped in today to check out the bass room and maybe pick up a t-shirt. Then I stumbled on this Sandberg TT4 passive bass; cobalt blue metallic with heavy relic. Under 8 lbs. Sometimes a bass picks you, and this felt like one of those times. And it came with a t-shirt!

Beautiful bass! Sandberg makes some of the best basses out there. Thats one of the best non-Fender jazz basses, IMO. Congrats!!

The bass looks impressive, the color is nice, the weight is perfect, etc…but where is the t-shirt?

I was there on Wednesday July 3rd around 5 PM or so and I think I saw that one, though did not play it. I field tested a dark gray Sandberg Single H for a buddy. Sandberg makes awesome basses. I just find them too thin at the neck at frets 1-5, which means most bass players probably find them to be perfect!

For way more money out of your pockets. Even when used… I could get three used Sandbergs for those 5k Sads in the classifieds all of the time.
For no options of Light weight paulownia. I’m talking 6lbs range not a 7.5lbs chambered alder.

And you’re stuck with either 35” scale on the Lulls and 19mm spacing of those weirdly shaped Sadowsky fat fingerboards… granted their preamps are miles better but you can get those off board…yeah fixed.
