NBD- SBMM Stingray (Ray 34)

The Sterling by Music Man Stingray arrived today! The Ray 34 labeling no longer appears on the headstock. This 3 band bass has an ash natural finish with a roasted maple neck.

The smooth, natural neck has no gloss or matte on board.

String height is somewhat low, and strings were tuned maybe 1/2 a note flat for shipment. I'll be seeking a clear PG to reveal more of the ash underneath. All three tone pots have an indent when tuned halfway.

A 9v battery was included, and it arrived inside the Sterling thick padded gig bag which added protection for shipment inside the heavy cardboard box.

Congrats on a great bass; they sound exactly like the pre Stingray Special American basses to my ears.

Great bass! I played one of those yesterday when I was at GC getting a new amp, and came very close to leaving with it too. Held off for now, but probably not for long.
