Okay, so I already had the bass but had the itch for something different. So what to do when the finances are tight? How about a new pick guard and new strap. WD Matte Black Pickguard and Franklin Vintage Bass Strap.

Honestly I just clicked like because it was a P bass.

I’m also planning to get a matte black pickguard from this company for a bass I’m getting myself for Christmas. But I’m worried that because it’s matte, the paint might chip or scratch easy. Is this a problem with yours?

Also do y’all agree that a matte black pickguard would look sexy in this bass? The surf green body is also matte on this bass.

The matte black color is part of the plastic, not a paint. It seems like it will be very durable. Also the matte black came thicker than some of the others. You can request up to 4 samples from the company under the description for the pickguard. They came quick and will let you see what the actual material is like.
I was going to go with a shiny black until I got the samples and realized just how much fingerprints were showing up. The matte black does not seem to show prints.
