i played nothing but passive forever until 2014 i bought a ibanez sr600. my first active preamp and thought is was so awesome to have another layer of eq on board. over the next 6 years i acquired 2 more active basses then i noticed on all my active basses i always left the eq flat and only used my pedalboard and amp for the eq. i never used the on board preamp eq so why am i spending money on batteries? i have decided to sell two of the active basses and convert the sr600 to passive and give it a makeover.
the sr600 has bartolini mk4 pickups and volume/balance/tone passive electronics now.
the color looks pearly light blue in bright light and looks more blue the darker the light.
i love how it turned out!
