Ive had three Early Euro Spectors, my 96 & 99 both came factory with EMG preamps.

Sometime around 2000-2001 I saw thw Euro Spectors come with those plastic knobs with the splines around the outside, so Im pretty sure your bass originally had an EMG pre too.
