Thanks, Yammy! I'm very proud of my concoction, which is still a bit of a "work in progress". I scored a G&L MFD Precision-style pickup, so we'll see how well that works in conjunction with the Super 55 bridge pup. If it's too powerful, like the Quarter Pounder was, I'll just swap it out again with one of the others I've used that blend properly.

I have only mildly modded my bbg4 with shielding . New 250k linear taper pots. Havent wanted to touch pickups. With the chromes on it it is all i need. But always want a nice “P”. Especially listening to Michael schmitt play a p bass. So funky.

I unexpectedly picked up one of these on Tuesday after browsing eBay and noticing an auction that was finishing in a hour and was only a couple of miles away to collect.

It was pretty cheap but quite dirty so I totally stripped it last night and gave it a good clean and polish. I’m really pleased how it’s turned out.

Here it is with it’s Matt Freeman sibling.
