NBD, Squier Content.

I was browing my local music shop (looking for a cheap bass to use as a project) and this Squier caught my eye, It's a Squier Affinity Jazz Bass in Metallic Red, I picked it up and straight away I knew I liked it; the neck is a V shape which is really comfortable for me and the body is slightly thinner than a regular Jazz which I like.

These are the following mods I will be doing to it:

Installing cream Dimarzio Ultra J's.
Installing a Schaller 3-D4 in black
White pearl pickguard
and new pots

I can't take any photos until tomorrow but here is a representation of what it will look like when I'm finished with it.

Squiers are the best bang for the buck.

It will sound twice as good when you're done with it and black hardware will look great!
I'm thinking about Fender Super 55 pickups and an Ultimate Jazz Bass control plate for my CV Jazz.

Even now it sounds awesome, it gives that clack sound I've been looking for (Les Claypool, Geddy, Flea).

how did you get that representation? it would help me pick out a color of pickguard that goes well with my bass.

I can't remember which one I used but here is a Jazz bass builder which has more options.
