Those pickups are really interesting..one more pole on each than standard fender. How do they sound?

Yeah, they work with 4 or 5 string. They have very even and consistent sound, not terribly hot, but I like the dynamics and response.

Correction re: mine--the plan is to add a SCN J-pup & 70's P-pup & BadassII. Just waiting on the 70s. It's got Chromes on E now--very nice--& a GHS G string. It's the only spare G I had.

These must've been popular before VM & CV Squiers came out but I have to say, super instrument that costs even less than a VM/CV. Who would've thunk it. I wonder what other colors they were made in.

Hey, I got one of those too! I mean, the bass, not the p'ups. Although I do like the Aztec Gold.

Mine is the black sparkle, and it came pre-modded with SD Quarter pounds and Graph Tech saddles, probably more for looks. I'll get a more up to date pix soon.

Here's mine. It has since been the victim of a neck swap with my '02 MIM P. It will probably get the set of SPB-2's I have lying around and possibly a Badass II and a brass nut in the future.

... these P/J Precision Specials, were part of the Squier STANDARD line, which was the top of the line prior to CV/VM ... the Squier Standard Jazz morphed into the VM line when it was introduced ... it was perceived as a large gap between the then top line Squier, and the MIM Standards .. you are finding now that was not nescessarily true in some of the cases ... JMHO

.. the brown is what was called Walnut Satin ... there are a fair # of these floating around, the other colors I have seen are red, black and green ...
