I''ve been a maple-neck fan all of my career, but the rosewood neck on this bass looks and sounds really good and is appropriate.
I was looking at a 6-month old 5-string Jazz bass today in the local music store that came in on trade an hour before I got there and they offered me a great deal on it. The salmon, err, SALESMAN (altogether now...NOOOOOOO!!!!!!....
) casually asked what other basses I had and I mentioned the Ray. He offered an even trade. You can guess my polite, but firm response..I still bought the Jazz. It's really nice and I'll be posting pics soon.
