Just got this baby in the mail. Snagged it off of Reverb. I had one of these before, sold it and pretty much instantly regretted it. I am so pumped I found another one.

It’s 9 pounds on the dot, a couple frets need fixed down, and it needs new strings. Also it could use a good cleaning.

I LOVE the SX necks for some reason. Their jazz bass necks are probably my favorite profiles.

I almost want to buy one of their replacement necks with the pearl inlays to match the pick guard.

I picked up a short scale SX P/J burst with maple PG from Rondo music back in November when they had a sale. They’re substantial well made inexpensive basses.

I understand the OP's feelings on selling the SX he had. I had a nice short scale jazz SX and that's probably the one thing I sold I regretted parting ways with.

Nice basses those SX's. Great you got a replacement for the one that got away!

Yeah, matching a guard to the inlays is something I've been known to do. Works for me (especially if they're blocks)!

I've had fretboard stickers on this for almost four years and they still look great.

Buy some pearl ones.
