A fine addition to the herd! I just can't pas up a nice Tbird. Limited run 2011 Thunderbird. Very nice wood selection, beefier neck than most '89 and up Tbirds. Still not a fan of the black hardware I see chrome in it's future

i am the opposite, i love black hardware. i would swap out the pickguard for a black one and go with an all red & black color scheme

however, if you do switch to chrome i am sure you'll still be very happy.

Looks great! I think either HW choice will look good, though I think the stock black looks nice. Put a Hipshot bridge on the sucka! They are a great improvement over stock in every respect.

Well done, Scott! The red is smokin'... Here's a suggestion - mix the black and chrome; like chrome ferrules on the tuners, trim rings around the pups, and screws/adjusters on the bridge. It might look pretty cool, and if not... you can keep chroming out until you get to TBird'58's red devil...

... or just play the hell out of it!

That's a beautiful 'Bird you got there. I too prefer the black hdwe, but that's just personal preference. If I were to go all crazy with a huge bass collection, a T-Bird would be a MUST have. Congrats and enjoy.

That is a sweet bass! I'm not a Gibson Bass fan, but I could sure go for a Thunderbird if it had a beefier neck. The color on that one is just awesome!

Woah! I'm amazed that you actually found something, better yet a bass, at the HOG.

I think I'd keep the black hardware if it were mine, not to knock the chrome though.

I've noticed my 2007 Thunderbird IV has a slightly wider neck and different feel than my 2000 Blackbird. It's no where near as wide as a P-bass or the Epi bird, but you can sure tell the difference.
