NBD!! US Fender Bullet Shortie

About 2 years ago, on a local CL I saw a red Fender Bullet in excellent condish with hardshell case. I'm not sure if it was the long scale but I knew I wanted it. Tele headstock, mustang type pickups in "toy" red.

Two years passed. I traded my gretsch electromatic shorty and I was itching for an mij Mustang bass. Nothing under 550 appeared on CL. So I waited.

Magically, the Fender Bullet reappeared.

Some major dings on the body with paint chipped to the wood.

Neck has some dents in it but nothing that feels strange.

The strap knob was screwed in waaay too much. Came with flats with faded blue winding on it. Sounds nice and full through my GK.

I tried a bronco before connected to a markbass. The amp made up for the thin sound -- lots of booty. This bass has vintage frets and has more bottom than a bronco. I think its because of the split mustang pickups. I haven't looked under there.

I played today and got a very convincing Phoenix type tone. He plays a maple neck mustang with the same pickups.

I had a creme colored long scale, it was awesome. Ive always thought one in Daphne Blue or Surf Green would look awesome.
