NBD - Vintage Gibson

That is perfect. I already play with a really light touch and move my right hand position around. I'm a big Lee Sklar guy

Looks like we're on the same page.:laugh:

Lee Sklar is one of my favorites when it comes to bass. His style and tone has always been a big influence on me going back to my first hearing him with James Taylor back in the early days.

I think that Gibson is going to work out great for you. Play it well. :)

I've been pining for more Gibson's in my life lately...my first two basses were a G3 and a Ripper...

1979 or 80. Me and my Ripper :)

Have owned several others over the years as well.

The closest sound I currently have is my mahogany Drake with TV Jones Thunder'Blades. Those pickups have a similar 'bark,' but really, I'm on the lookout for more Gibson back in my world. Great score on your new Gibson!
