NBD weird three-pickup MIJ bass

I think it makes it! Except for the misaligned switches.

You could clean it up with a regular tele plate if you are so inclined. Use a 5-way switch and a push/pull knob to allow you to run neck/bridge or neck/middle/bridge all at once. Get access to tones you don't have now and get rid of switches you don't use.

Got this yesterday and am totally in love. I want more of these. It’s by T.S. Factory in Japan. Does it dive? Sure! But only to about where I play anyway… a little above horizontal to the floor. No forum testimonials anywhere and scant info, but also not so expensive used, so the risk was acceptable, and the outcome is jackpot.
"Does it dive? Sure!"

Sweet bass! I’d add that to my collection if I saw it in a shop for sure. What’s your go-to pickup selection so far?
Thanks! Mostly P or Fauxbucker, but all the combinations are full-sounding and usable. I think FB and P work great together … the pillowy low end of the FB with the midrange snap of the P is fun, for example. I bet all three would be tremendous if I have it rewired for that option.
