I don’t remember posting a NBD before, so here I go. I saw this 1994 US Fury in a blurry FB marketplace pic, accompanied by an original hardshell case and an immaculate Peavey Basic 60 amp, and what can I say...I was weak. I didn’t want the amp but the seller was insistent on a package deal. He lopped off a few bucks, and here we are.
The rusty La Bella flats came off, fresh Roto rounds went on, and I’ll finish setting it up this weekend. It’s not my Fender, but it ain’t bad at all. Now I’ve got my beater P bass w/rounds in not so beaten condition.
The old Fender will wear flats for the next decade, and I’ll cycle my stash of used strings on this one. The Basic’s inputs and knobs need cleaning, but for a deuce and a quarter, 2020 is ending on a positive note, courtesy of Meridian, Mississippi.
