Traded my Dingwall to a friend of mine for this beautiful Attitude III bass. The neck is wider than all my others, knew that going in, but man is it playable.
I haven't played one before today either. The quality is there big time and like I said the playability is pretty remarkable for a wide neck.
Nice. I have the black one. It’s very fast playing and super loud compared to anything else I have. Enjoy!
100% awesome. Great player, killer range of tones. Rock on! edit, forgot to say their take on Daphne is fantastic.
The necks are magic on these. It doesn’t even make sense that they are so comfortable and easy to play.
These are great basses. Although I generally prefer basses with skinny necks, I find these Attitude basses extremely playable and comfortable. And the quality of the neck construction is outstanding. Regardless of what gauge of string I put on this, the action stays consistent and low. Very solid basses.
I like that color a lot also, I would put a different color pickguard on though, never been a fan of white or antique white pearloid. Would like to see what mint green looks like, or that nice tort Billy got on his new sunburst Attitude, or maybe black. I changed the white guard to black on mine, I like it better...was hard to find a good match for the weird metallic rose paint color.
I was intrigued by the Yamaha Attitude's twin output cables. I thought it must be something like Rickenbacker does, with its Rickosound single stereo cable. Anyway, I eventually found a 21-minute video of Billy Sheehan explaining why the Attitude has two cables:
I like that. it makes the blue look like a 1965 Fender Mustang guitar I had when I was 14 ...which cost me $65.
I had a I, haven’t handled a II or III. Mine was metallic blue with red inlays, really sharp looking. I didn’t care for the giant neck.
Got to play one and loved it . Would love to own one , but it wouldn't be my no.1 bass and at $2,800.00 it's got to be no.1 .....BABY!
Guilty as charged, my main Tele is Daphne with white pearloid and maple neck. But tort also looks great on that blue. That’s a cool bass BTW.
