NBD!! Yamaha BB735a.....denied.

That's been my experience as well. Startrack/Australia Post are absolute nightmare when it comes to signatures. They don’t even let my wife sign for goods that have been ordered in my name.
Oh, I haven't had that problem. They let whoever answers the door sign here. The problem I have had with the Startrack couriers is they often don't even knock on the door, they just leave a "sorry we missed you" card without knocking. Last time I actually caught the guy walking away after he did that and he said he didn't knock because he assumed nobody was home given there was no car in our driveway.

At least the advantage of Startrack is they do deliver to PO boxes (which is my preference), whereas the other courier companies don't (or AusPost won't let them).

I had a package delivered today - I was home and the front porch to my door is 13 steps up with the house number right next to my door. Nobody knocked and the package wasn't left on my porch. It was a box of Tung-Sol 6550 tubes with "FRAGILE, GLASS" stickers all over it and the letter carrier tossed it over the locked gate on the side of the house - the box landed on the concrete sidewalk in front of my daughter's apartment downstairs. I guess they (USPS) were worried about leaving it on my front porch ... except I was home so maybe they just didn't want to climb the stairs. Fortunately the tubes were packed really well and survived.
