NBD Yard Sale Find!!!!

Wow, $15? That's pretty nuts. I might've felt a bit conflicted paying that little for it - sorry, I shouldn't be a wet blanket on your NBD thread  Looks like a fun little project. Have fun cleaning it up, modding, and of course playing it!
That's a typical Garage Sale price for anything, and that's why I've never had a Garage Sales, as people expect a steal. It's like you have a $100 bill and you're asking $50 for it, but people offer you $10 for it.

Yeah, that’s a Korean Cort-factory build and has old Seymour Duncan Basslines as I recall. I have one in lighter blue and I guarantee I paid much more than that for it.
I've only owned two Squiers, but they both said Squier instead of Fender? I've never seen a Squier Bass or Guitar that had Fender in big letters and Squier in little letters like this Bass. Usually just the opposite.

This is typical of these early Korean-made Squiers. I’ll show you a pic or two

of mine. Interestingly enough, the Squier logo can be easily removed as many of these have it on top of the finish, as mine does.

Edit: my serial number shows it to be a Cort factory product from 1993 (C=Cort, N=1990’s, 3 designates 1993 specifically as I recall

Nice find...no guilt, this is america and a deal is a deal...it absolutely has none similarities as finding $500 on the ground in your neighborhood!...someone lost that and they would want it back because its theres and probably really important!... they weren't selling the $500 for $15...

Question is did you hand her a 20 and ask for 5 back? lol

Congrats on your new bass!

Nice bass! Love the color and wear! I'll give you 15 bucks for it! lol

Greetings from the North,

Are you fibbing again? ;-)

Congrats on the great find.
Reminds me of the ole Detroit legend of the $5 Cadillac. A lady who was angry at her two timing man, sold his Cadillac from the newspaper advertising section for Five Whole Dollars!
Another legend from ancient times lol

Congrats again,
Rezdog

I see. The first Squier I ever bought was around 2006 ( Bullet Strat for my son). So people can just remove them and pass them off as Fenders? Actually some MIJ Squier Basses were much better than MIM and even MIA ones, and even high sought after.

So...you asked the seller about it, and she didn't know anything, and she sold it to you for $15? Not her bass? Sounds like an angry ex!

Oh well, what's done..., I once bought a fender blacktop telecaster on E bay for cheap, but not that cheap, seller said she needed to get rid of it, figured it was a breakup sale. Cant control some thing cause if not you who? Nice find! try to play a little more than 15$ out of it!
