Can’t believe I scored this at a yard sale down the street for $15!!!!

Looks like it was an active bass once, I asked the seller but she didn’t know and was just getting rid of stuff that she couldn’t sell on eBay. So I plugged in the bass when I got home and it plays fine. No scratchy pots no funny business that I heard. Not a fan of the pickups though I’m sure it needs a setup but I’m definitely looking into getting better pickups for it. After all, it did only cost me $15

As far as looking into the year of the bass and all, it seems to be a 1993 Squier Fender Bass. Anyone care to extend some knowledge on this bass so I know what I’m working with for later upgrades?

That's less than a what a decent lunch costs - nice score.

Not sure I could have done that deal without screaming before I reached my car ! I thought I'd done a great deal when I paid $100. for a Warwick it was in a disgusting condition so all I had to do is spend a day taking it apart cleaning and set it back up. I called Warwick here in Nashville who were most helpful in telling me what it was etc. No reports of a stolen bass thats always a concern.

I also had a neighbor stumble across a 91 MiK Pbass. He was doing a side carpentry job for a woman who was tired of asking her 30 something son to collect his music gear. She gave it all to my neighbor. He showed me the bass - I thought it was a knockoff because I had never seen Maui Blue. I offered $50 It came with a Levi gig bag, about 20 rock song books, guitar strings and cables. I'm doing open mics where you leave the bass lying around so I started playing it a lot and really took a liking to it. I upgraded it with an Emerson pre-wired kit and an Aguilar 60's pickup and put Chromes on it. It's my favorite bass now. Don't sell it

I think the answer to your problem is simple, state in your will that they be given over to me.

WOW!!! The pick guard is worth 3 times what you paid for it not to mention that those Bass Line pickups are worth more than 10 times what you paid for it. All in all you made out like a bandit. I'm SO jealous.
