After 40 years, my beloved Thunderbird needs to be retired until I have the funds to fix the bowed and twisted neck. I have been limping by with my Squier VM Fretless until my wife surprised me with an early Christmas present. She found a "used" Fender Jazz on the GC web-site and had it shipped to my local store.The SN says it is a 2017 MIM but it appears to be brand new. So.................at least for now, I have gone to the dark side and I'm a Fender guy. It really is a nice bass and has the badass style Fender bridge. I debuted it this morning at church and it sounded good.............not Thunderbird good........but I'll have to live with that for now.
