U.K.
I feel like a small child at Christmas. Plays beautifully, feels like a dream. Passive is dreamy, active is BIG! The shop had only unpacked it today. I let the seller have a little go on it before he watched it walk out the door.

Was only planning on getting a cheap, light practice bass to drag with me to work. This was a bit outside my budget but the extra meant having a whole lot of guitar. Neck feels like a jazz(but I play a five stringed Spector so most bases do). The active circuit creates a very big sound but the passive delivers that sound we all know and love. Could have gone for a cheaper model but once I'd tried this I knew I couldn't leave the shop without it.

I'm surprised they don't. I was happy to have the four string because I needed something lighter than my Spector to practice on. Not sure I'll be picking up the Spector as much now. The new bridge gives it a very grown up feel but adds little to the overall weight.
I really like these basses. But honestly, the bridge is the first thing I’d replace. Just a big heavy eyesore IMO. I have 9 P basses. All have the old threaded saddle bent plate bridges and all sustain just fine. ;)

I agree. I’ve had a number of P and J basses that I put vintage-style KTS titanium bridges on. They looked amazing and sustained like crazy.

That's a sexy bass.. i might get burnt at the stake for saying so, personally not a fan of tort but I love that natural finish. I love the P/J config as well as the active/passive switch. Too rich for my blood but I'll drool a little bit at least.
