NBD!

Well I have been thinking for some time now in regards to investing in a short scale Bass with a Gibson SG, Stingray or a Hofner 500/1 as my choices. I finally opted for the Hofner 500/1 62 "Mersey" re issue which was not down to price, but because they are so different compared to other Basses.
I am happy with my choice though the Bass doesn't actually sing at the moment which I think is down to the stock Pyramid Flats as the E and A strings sound dead to me, so I will replace them with La Bella Flats.
I must say that the Bass itself is beautifully made with no blemishes at all and is light as a feather which is an added bonus. Hand made in Germany, but with a confusing Control plate.
