I have a Duesenberg Starplayer. Such a well-made bass. I didn't know they had a Hofner-style. That's really cool. I put Dunlops flats on mine and it was the right choice. 
Man, that's a 'Duesie'!
Never warmed up to 'Beatle' basses, because of the control plate on the front always looking like an old car radio smacked on the front of the bass.
Just my opinion...no offense intended to anyone or any bass.This control arrangement makes it look great!

LOL, you're right, it does look like that...kindasorta.

Nice. Looks like the same pickups as my Starplayer so I know it sounds great. Duesenberg makes great instruments.
I saw Curt Smith playing a hollow body single cutaway Duesy that looked like a Starplayer with 2 holes. GAS.

Also not sure where you got it but Duesenbergs come with a nice case. So maybe ask them to check the stock room?
It's really a beauty, and Dusenberg looks to be a great, high quality maker.
Considering how little information there is on this bass, I'm sure many players would like to know a lot more about it. Who sells them? About how much do they cost? What does it sound like?

Thanks for all of the feedback! It sounds great—especially with flats in it. It’s V/V/T, all hollow. With the tone rolled off it is soft, and warm. I think the neck pickup is a little microphonic, but doesn’t seem to impact the tone or playability.
The were discontinued in 2017 or 2013, so no cases left. Took it to a rehearsal this afternoon, and it killed!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this bass. It’s light, got a great tone, and it’s easy to play.
I ended up getting a RoadRunner hard bag for it—fits perfectly, too. One thing I forgot to mention is that the bridge is fixed. All of the hardware is nickel plated.
