Very interesting. I've never seen one of these before. I'd like to know more. Pickups?
There's a piezo under the bridge.
That little wooden circle is the volume knob.
There's a simple treble cut/tone control in back: wide open is flat, anything else cuts the treble.
It's simple and works great.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations! I love the top on that one. Pretty and interesting figuring, but not crazy over the top. Rob Allen is a master craftsman and builder.

I would consider this bass perfect, except for that headstock. For me, on a bass of this configuration, anything other than a Fender headstock is just wrong. That aside, I'm lovin' it!
I didn't believe the hype until I found a local TB'er who let me come try his out.
All the hype is true.
No way I could pay full new price for one of these!
I feel very fortunate to be able to get this bass.

Interesting, my old MB-2 is a medium scale, which was not a custom order, so I had assumed they all were 32". Obviously not.

Deep, resonant, woody, with a DB type growl that's different from a fretless BG mwah or whatever people call it.
It's somewhere between a DB and fretless BG, sorta what I think all fretless ABGs want to sound like, without the bulky body and feedback problems.

I doubt you'd lose money if you didn't get along with it.
Plays so smooth, and yes - somehow easier to play in tune than my other fretless basses.
