So I just snagged this. 2004 Standard MIM pbass. It came with a white guard so of course tort had to go on it, and TIs. I actually really like this one. Even across the board with tone and sounds great. I know these are a dime a dozen but Gonna keep this one. Whatcha think?

My 2015 MIM P has the bent metal bridge. I suspect an owner prior to you “upgraded” to the Fender Hi Mass Bridge. My MIM P with the stock bridge and LaBella 45-105 flats has surprising sustain when I want it. The sustain is really affected (in my case) with pickup height. I lowered the pickups slightly for improved sustain. Enjoy yours!

That bass begs for tort. Good choice. Also the dark rosewood FB is a desireable feature. It is fast becoming a rareity and will be in more demand shortly. My prediction. Tonal variences are negligiable in my opinion. What would Jamerson do?

My Tort-greatness MIM P w/Maple neck/fingerboard. Replaced the pickup with SD QP you see here; Replaced it again a couple months ago with Lawler Precision Bass Split Coil.

Considering flats next change, though...
