Hello all!

recently I’ve come to the conclusion that I love 6 and 5 string basses but a four is a lot better for me live and the bands I’m in. So I decided to search the internet for a bass that had what I was looking for. Found this on GC so I snagged it. This thing sounds amazing and fits my playing style and overall needs. Did fender ever make a MIM jazz with these specs? Tried looking it up and got nothing. It has hipshot tuners, a Wilkinson bridge and not sure what nord pickups they are ( big singles maybe)

sounds like 4-is-more, @6ornone! regardless of pedigree = you have a good looking ax that you like --- congratulations on your new instrument!
I was waiting for a response along these lines lol. I just enjoy being able to play in the pocket more and just blend in and stand out when I need to. Don’t get me wrong a 6 string Dingwall will be in the collection again in the future but a four tuned in drop c or drop g just fits better. I have a 5 setup for A standard for a few songs but it rarely comes out

I've never seen a stock Fender bass in this configuration, MIA, MIM, or Asian rim. I don't get out much so maybe this is something of a departure and really new.

Personally, I'm not that big on name pedigree. But if you got a bass you are over the moon on, consider there are bassists that have spent their entire life in search of that experience. Congrats.

I think it’s what a lot of people are saying which is a parts bass. Which I’m A ok with. The passive tone is perfect for my one more traditional metal band. Active mode is definitely what I’ve been looking for when it comes to my hardcore band. I really wasn’t looking for a fender per se but from the pictures the bass had it all so I said here we go.

As far as the neck is concerned. Not sure about the rest.
