Well, I finally broke down and bought a bass after selling my Warwick Corvette a few weeks ago. It’s in pristine condition (at the moment). So here it is:

It is, but that PG has got to go. Fender has a choice of two (it’s a five string) so if anybody has a suggestion of a firm with a better selection, please advise.

Brown tort or 3-ply black. If you want to stay light then Aged White Pearl.

‘I’m thinking a brown tort. The issue with the one on it, as well as an aged white, or pearl PG, is the blinding white neck binding (which I hope ages sooner than later) and matching the mother of pearl block inlays.

Well, you can't go wrong with brown tort on a Sunburst/rosewood combination. Even WITH the blocks and binding!

Check out the options at Pickguard Planet. If none of their standard pickguards are a perfect fit, they will use your original as a template and make a custom one for you. (I'm not affiliated with them; just a satisfied customer.)

I have this vintage off white perloid pickguard on a similar bass and quite like it.

If ever I change it, this would be a satin black one ply.
