Definitely not GHS flats. GHS flats have fuschia/purple silk.G&L tribute LB100, it came with what I think are GHS flats, really happy with this bass, I took a gamble as I e never played one but yep it’s a keeper.
Gotcha, Thank you. They do sound good and have a very good low end.Definitely not GHS flats. GHS flats have fuschia/purple silk.
What you have there are maybe Rotosound, Thomastik Infeld, or La Bella
Do they feel super crazy, glassy smooth? Or do they have a slight texture?Gotcha, Thank you. They do sound good and have a very good low end.
They have to be Roto’ they have more texture than the flats on my other basses. This was advertised as a 2018, it looks absolutely new, still had to peel some of the plastic off of the pick guard and tunnig keys. If it is an 18 then maybe the rotos were put on when new.Do they feel super crazy, glassy smooth? Or do they have a slight texture?
La Bella= crazy smooth & no silk at bridge
Rotosound = some texture to them. Older ones have silk at bridge, new ones no.
Thomastik have silk at bridge.
My L2000 Tribute is my go-to bass for most things. Absolute workhorse. Sounds great, feels great. Only slight caveat is that it's heavy, but whatever, it's a stunning bass. 10/10 would recommend. It looks great. I've had an l2000 tribute in my periphery for many years. Really underrated instruments. I may have to do it.
