Interesting. Been looking for a second bass to complement my Fender Squier P. I just located a Fury at a local pawn shop (listed on CL), Candy apple red with white pickguard and maple neck. They want $399 for it. Deserves a look this weekend.

See if you can talk them down a bit on the price. You can find a Fury for under $200 if you are just a little patient.

Yeah, the knobs were already changed when I got it, but I am responsible for the setup. Glad you like it. I was up to 7 Foundations, and I really prefer maple necks and the later pickups so I traded in two of them for an Electronic drumset. There is another change, I replaced the original capactitor with a .082 so I could roll off more treble. If you would like the original PM me your mailing address and I can mail one to you(I make this change on all my Foundations and have several of the originals laying around). Personally, I'd leave it as it is.

PS: Congradulations, they gave you the wrong case. That bass came with a Square later model PV case. They gave you the bullet case (much more desireable) from the '87 Foundation that I traded in at the same time. That Foundation never even made it onto the floor. One of the employees must have snapped it up.

My brother had a Peavey T-40. That is why I was intrigued by this bass. His T-40 was killer. My dad's first bass was a T-40. He got it so he could be like Chris Squire. I'm not sure how he figured but he has great stories about walking 5 miles in the snow with that heavy thing. You know the Five miles up hill both ways kinda thing.;)
