Just picked this up today. Fender '72 P bass- all original, no mods, great mojo but no case. Anyone with an age appropriate case please pm me with the details. Trying to decide whether to leave the mojo alone - crud on, crud off, crud on, crud off?? Can't decide.
Also need to decide on strings. I haven't had a P in so long I'm kind of undecided which way to go here.
The volume pot needs work. It ramps up from 0 to 100% in the final 90 degree arc. The rest of the travel it's off. I ran a meter on it and it checks out - just odd that the other 240 degrees of travel are dead. Liberal contact cleaner didn't seem to help. Right now I'll leave it alone. Anyway, I'm off to woodshead now - have a great evening! I know I will....
